• What is the International Beauty Show?

The International Beauty Show is the top trade show for members of the professional beauty industry and students currently enrolled in a certified beauty school or cosmetology program. Student MUST present a school ID for admittance to the show.
No one under the age of 15 is allowed on the show floor or in classrooms, including infants in strollers. No roller bags are admitted on the show floor under any circumstances.

• What are the show hours on March 9th?
The exhibit hall opens at 9:30am and closes at 5:00pm.

• Where is the show located?
Jacob Javits Convention Center, located at 655 West 34th Street, at 11th Avenue.

• How can I register my students and what are ticket prices?
The student program is only valid for schools purchasing 10 or more student tickets. If the school purchases 10 or more student tickets, each student ticket is $35 before February 9. After February 9, tickets are $40 per student. Only school officials and instructors can register their students for the student program. Students cannot register individually.

• When is the student registration deadline?
February 9, 2010 is the deadline for the discounted price of $35. The onsite ticket price is $40 per student.

Please note: Schools registering at the show DO NOT receive the one (1) School Official ticket for every ten (10) tickets purchased.

• How many school officials can accompany their students?
Registered schools are entitled to three (3) complimentary registrations for School Officials. For every ten (10) students registered in advance, one chaperone ticket will be allocated.
Schools registering at the show DO NOT qualify to receive the one (1) free School Official registration for every ten (10) purchased.

• When will I receive the admittance package including wristbands, once I have registered my students?
End of February, 2010.

• Are refunds obtainable if we buy tickets but then cannot attend the show?
No, refunds are not obtainable, as student tickets are deeply discounted.

• How will attending the show benefit my students?
IBS New York is the largest and longest running beauty event in the nation, providing students with valuable classroom and in-booth education. Each year, show management works hard to get top-notch speakers to hold students classes, and the 2010 show will have more student education than ever before! Students will also get an inside-look at the beauty industry and will get the chance to network with the best in the industry.

• What types of companies exhibit at the show?

All companies exhibiting at IBS New York either sell or distribute products related to the beauty industry.

• How many exhibitors will be at IBS New York?
Over 600 companies will exhibit at the show.

• What if I or one of my students needs special assistance at the show?

• How do I get to the Jacob Javits Convention Center?
