What is the International Beauty Show?
The International Beauty Show is the top trade show for members of the professional beauty industry. The show is for beauty professionals only and is not open to the general public. The show's main objective is to educate, in effect opening new doors for beauty professionals.
Who is allowed to attend IBS New York?
IBS New York is only open to licensed beauty professionals. All attendees will be asked to present a photo ID along with one of the following credentials:
- Cosmetology License
- Salon/Spa Business License
- Business card
- Letter from owner of salon or spa
- W-2 Form
- Invoice from professional beauty product distributor
- Student I.D. from Cosmetology School or state license
- Other appropriate license(s) denoting one as a member in the professional beauty industry
- Students attending a certified beauty school can also attend, with proper identification
- No one under the age of 15 is allowed on the show floor or in classrooms, including infants in strollers.

How do I get to the Jacob Javits Convention Center?

Is there accreditation for the classes I take at IBS New York?
No official credit is given for classes held during IBS New York. However, upon request, IBS New York can issue you a certificate of completion which you may appeal to your board for accreditation. Certificates are available at the Show Office during IBS New York.
How many people attend IBS New York each year?
Over 66,500 beauty professionals attend IBS New York.
What should I do if I lose my ticket?
Any attendee who loses their ticket will have to purchase another ticket to gain entrance to the show.

What is included in my ticket to IBS New York?
Included with your ticket to IBS New York is access to all Main Stage performances, the opportunity to walk the extensive show floor and meet with thousands of exhibitors, and over 100 educational classes designed to increase your professional skills. Your IBS New York ticket also grants you access to the International Esthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference show floor, held simultaneously at the Jacob Javits Center, completely free of charge.
Do PBA & NCA members get a discount?
Yes, we provide discounts for members of PBA & NCA. Simply enter your email associated with your PBA membership when you register.
Is there a bag/coat check available?
Yes, IBS offers a bag and coat check available to all attendees, located on the first floor of the Javits Center. Please also leave your roller-bags at the bag check, as they are not permitted on the Show Floor.
If you have a medical condition which requires you to use a roller bag, please bring an official medical note with you and bring the note to the Information Booth (located in the Crystal Palace) for validation.
Can I walk from my hotel to the Javits Center?
IBS offers lodging at hotels throughout New York City. The majority of the hotels are located within a one mile radius of the Javits Center, requiring anywhere from a 5-15 minute walk.
