What is the International Beauty Show?

The International Beauty Show is the top trade show for members of the professional beauty industry and students currently enrolled in a certified beauty school or cosmetology program. Students MUST present a school ID for admittance to the show. No one under the age of 15 is allowed on the show floor or in classrooms, including infants in strollers. Roller bags are not admitted on the show floor.

When is Student Day?

Student Day takes place on Tuesday, March 12.

Where is the show located?

Jacob Javits Convention Center–655 West 34th Street, at 11th Avenue. For directions please click here.

When is the student registration deadline?

The deadline to register students online is Sunday, March 3 at 12:00pm Eastern Time.
After this time, you will need to register all students onsite on Tuesday, March 12th.

Can my students register onsite?

All students must be prepared to show a valid Student ID onsite. If your school does not issue student IDs, please ensure your students have in their possession a letter on school letterhead confirming their enrollment in the school.

Student IDs are necessary to purchase the $38 discounted student ticket onsite on Tuesday, March 12 and this ticket is only valid for Tuesday admission. If students show up on Sunday or Monday and purchase tickets onsite, tickets are $100 per person, per day. Students must be prepared to show a valid Student ID onsite.

Free School Official and Chaperone tickets are NOT available onsite. Chaperone and School Officials tickets are $100 per person onsite.

When will I receive the admittance package including wristbands, once I have registered my students?

You should receive your admittance package toward the end of February, 2019.

What is your cancellation policy?

Refunds less a $15 processing fee per student will be granted if requested no later than February 3, 2019. Please email refund requests to IBSNYSTUDENTS@xpressreg.net. Please note that refunds will NOT be issued for no-show registrants and/or requests received after February 3, 2019.

How will attending benefit my students?

IBS New York is the largest and longest running beauty event in the nation, providing students with valuable classroom and in-booth education. Students will get an inside-look at the beauty industry and will get the chance to network with top-notch professionals.

Included with the student ticket is access to the exhibit hall with 500+ exhibitors, student-focused classes and in-booth education.

What types of companies and how many exhibit at the show?

All companies exhibiting at IBS New York either sell or distribute products related to the beauty industry. There are approximately 500 companies that exhibit.

How do I get to the Jacob Javits Convention Center?

Take the following MTA subway trains to 34th Street: A,C,E, 1, 2, 3, 9, B, D, F, N, Q, R, 4, 5, 6, 7
